You are quite right; the 'wrong side of midnight' is before 6th April 2010 rather than after. I have edited the blog accordingly. The number of qualifying years required to obtain a full basic State pension is being reduced for men and women on 6th April 2010, so those reaching their State pension age before this date will need a larger number of qualifying years to get the same pension benefits. As I read it if your 65 after 6 April you need only 30 years to receive full state pension. Or am i reading it wrongly ?
