Informed Choice are very pleased to have been named as finalists for Best Retirement Adviser in this year’s Moneyfacts Good Advice Awards.
I believe there are a number of reasons why we have been nominated as finalists:
· We enter new client relationships with a view to offer advice. This may be stating the obvious but the important distinction is that advice ensures the client’s best interest is prioritised as opposed to looking for a new opportunity to create a product sale. Our fee structure is conducive to putting the client first.
· We emphasise the importance of reviewing pension and investment portfolios to account for changes to client circumstances and those of the investment markets.
· We do not believe experience alone is sufficient for a professional firm; we continually look to improve our knowledge either by attaining professional qualifications or through internal continuous improvement programmes. As a result of this approach we are proud to be a firm of Chartered Financial Planners.
· We want our clients to be engaged in the advice process and do not believe there needs to be unnecessary barriers between our knowledge and what we communicate to our clients. To promote this we seek to use plain English in all our communications and offer free resources to educate our clients on relevant financial matters.
· We understand no single Financial Planner has all the knowledge or experience. As a result we work as a team rather than a collection of individuals to ensure our clients benefit from our combined experience and expertise.
We will be extremely proud if we are announced as winners of Best Retirement Adviser on the 17th September 2010 but we recognise and respect the efforts of our two competitors for the award (Concept Financial Planning & Lift-Financial).
