    I read the article and it was interesting reading the comments underneath by members of the public.  They weren’t very positive, which I think probably confirms your thoughts.

    Thanks for being fair about the article. I think the comments underneath were about advisers generally, looking back on how things have been. I find the planners who put the client at the centre of the planning process, rather than the client’s money, do achieve better outcomes for the clients. They are genuinely nicer people too. If you were wondering how to spend the rest of your life, how satisfying would it be if all you talked about was the money? Would just a financial conversation fix things? I suggest emotional KYC is an essential soft fact in any factfind. Planning without it, is like planning to perpetuate the treadmill of work existence followed by a miserable retirement. It could be only a matter of time before it becomes another regulation. Plan from the head and the heart I say.
