Catriona joined Informed Choice at the start of 2012 as a Financial Planner.
She began her career in financial services in the mid 1990′s, originally specialising in general insurance.
Catriona began working for an IFA in 2004. She subsequently set up her own compliance business, working for IFA firms helping them to establish sufficient systems and processes in their businesses to ensure they were treating their clients professionally and compliantly within the Financial Services Authority regulations.
Catriona is an ISO 22222 Certified Financial Planner. She became the 12th female in the UK to be awarded this status through Standards International.
ISO 22222 is an internationally agreed benchmark that assesses and awards financial planners who can demonstrate that they have knowledge, skills and experience and ethical values to deliver a first class service to their clients.
Catriona is currently studying to become a Chartered Financial Planner. She holds the Diploma in Financial Planning (CII) and the Advanced Certificate in Compliance (ICA).
She also holds the specialist care fees planning qualification CF8, enabling her to work with elderly clients to provide advice on the funding of care fees.
Catriona has a particular expertise working with female clients to assist them with the pension and financial planning aspects of separation and divorce.
Catriona is married with two young girls. In her spare time she enjoys golf (beginner level!) and running. She also assists her Father with achieving funding for a charity he established for the poverty stricken in Lima, Peru.
