Recruitment

If you would like to be a part of an award-winning firm of Chartered Financial Planners, and you demonstrate the values of a team player (you are emotionally stable, highly teachable, service orientated and creative), then we would like to have a conversation.

We have a modest ambition to recruit four Financial Planners in 2010, to satisfy our plans for business growth.

Our Financial Planners have self-employed contracts, benefit from extensive research and administration support, and are able to leverage the established Informed Choice brand in the development of their own client bank.

We offer a comprehensive service proposition for forward-thinking, dynamic and successful independent financial advisers.

Our adviser support team based in Surrey takes responsibility for all aspects of administration, research, technical support and marketing – leaving you to focus your energy on the acquisition of clients and the delivery of advice, implementation and review services.

We differ from many other IFA firms as a result of our team based approach.

The Finder is responsible for identifying a prospective client, completing our engagement process and delivering advice. They may also be responsible for the delivery of implementation services.

The Minder is responsible for the ongoing management of the client relationship, including the delivery of review services.

The Support team takes responsibility for all aspects of administration, research, technical support and marketing – including the construction of advice and review reports.

Our advisers typically fulfill both Finder and Minder roles simultaneously.

In the first instance, please email your CV and a covering note to Nick Bamford at nick@icl-ifa.co.uk. All communications will be treated in the strictest confidence.

Important information for recruitment agents:

We do not usually accept introductions from recruitment agents. However, if you insist on getting in touch, we encourage you to read the following terms before calling us.

As an agent, we expect you to have carried out due diligence on the candidate before putting them forward for interview. For an FSA Controlled Function, you should have asked them to complete a ‘fit and proper’ person questionnaire. In respect of any negative responses you will provide detailed information to support the candidate’s application.

You will have obtained suitable evidence of the candidate’s record of success as described in the candidate’s CV.

Importantly, you should have reviewed our website to gain a thorough understanding of our systems and processes and our approach to market. You will have checked with the candidate that they are able and willing to operate in a team structure with suitable qualifications obtained to date, and in a fee charging environment.

When using an agent to recruit self-employed Financial Planners, the only remuneration model we find acceptable is a payment of agency fees from our share of revenue generated by the adviser over the first twelve months. This final point is not negotiable.
