Informed Choice, the award-winning firm of Chartered Financial Planners, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dermott Whelan as a Financial Planner.

Whelan was the founding member of Morgan Stanley’s Discretionary Management team within its Private Wealth Division and launched their guided open architecture multi-manager investment platform in 2007.

As part of the Investment Solutions Group at Fidelity International, Whelan was responsible for manager selection with a focus on European Equity and asset allocation.

Commenting on the appointment, Informed Choice joint managing director Martin Bamford said:

In addition to his investment qualifications, Dermott Whelan is a Fellow of The Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and is making rapid progress through the CII Diploma in Financial Planning.
