Informed Choice, the award-winning firm of Chartered Financial Planners, is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Investment Director. Dermott Whelan has been appointed to this newly created role as Informed Choice continues to grow and develop a formidable in-house investment expertise.

Whelan joined the firm as a Financial Planner in June 2009. In 1998, he was the founding member of Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Division’s discretionary investment team and has worked with high net worth clients for more than ten years, most recently in Fidelity’s Investment Solutions Group.

Commenting on the appointment, Informed Choice chief executive Nick Bamford said:

Dermott is a member of the CFA Society of the UK, a Fellow of The Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and holds the CII Diploma in Financial Planning.
